Copy GPT Disk with Minitool Partition Wizard

As is known to all, GUID Partition Table (GPT) is a standard for the layout of the partition table on a physical hard disk. Although it forms a part of the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI) standard (Intel’s proposed replacement for the PC BIOS), it is also used on some BIOS systems because of the limitations of MBR partition tables, which restrict a disk partition’s size to a maximum of 2.2 TB (2.2 × 1012 bytes). GPT allows for a maximum disk and partition size of 9.4 ZB (9.4 × 1021 bytes).

Since the built in disk management tool of Windows operating system fails to resize GPT disk partition, here I would like recommending user MiniTool Partition Wizard which is developed by MiniTool Solution Ltd. with powerful functions such as resize partition, merge partition, create partition, delete partition, format partition, convert partition format, copy partition, wipe partition, etc. Furthermore, it runs perfectly under Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 2008 and supports FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS4 and NTFS5.

Download MiniTool Partition Wizard at MiniTool Partition Wizard Download Center and then install it to computer. Note: never install MiniTool Partition Wizard to partition which is to be deleted or operated.

Download this software and run it. This is the main interface of MiniTool Partition Wizard, please select the GPT partition and then click “Copy” to activate next step. Select an unallocated space to store copied partition data and then click “Next”: In this interface, set partition properties by dragging the scroll bar or directly entering values in the textboxes, then click “Finish”. And finally, click “Apply” to execute pending operation. Thus, the partition would be perfectly copied with MiniTool Partition Manager.
